Dropbox Paper Pricing The free version will be using the storage capacity of your Dropbox itselfĮven though you may have noticed some downsides mentioned with Dropbox Paper, one of the best parts is that it is a free program that only requires you to create a Dropbox account. Let’s take a closer look at each of these three categories and see where you might fall, and if Dropbox Paper is right for you. Having said that, Dropbox Paper claims to offer a range of benefits to three unique user groups creators, collaborators, and presenters. Formatting options are extremely limited and what looks great on one screen resolution may end up being a jumbled mess on another. This unlimited strip of paper does not allow freedom of design when it comes to your project layouts. However, this is also where Dropbox Paper can fall short for some users. It has no maximum length, giving you the ability to type as much as you want, or to embed countless images and other files into the project. One of the benefits of Dropbox Paper is that it imitates a single sheet of paper. Paper is a useful program when you want to be able to create projects and collaborate with multiple users for opinions, comments, and more. I made this correction and got a new error. I read the regex pattern from the second error and it appears the file id should be written like this id:my_doc_id The goal is to get the latest revision number and then update the Paper doc usingĭbx.paper_docs_update(data_to_append, 'append', revision_num, 'plain_text') Which returns dropbox.stone_validators.ValidationError: 'my_doc_id' did not match pattern '/(.|)*|id.*|(ns:+(/.*)?)' import dropboxįrom dropbox.files import ListRevisionsModeĭbx = dropbox.Dropbox('YOUR_ACCESS_TOKEN')ĭbx.files_list_revisions('my_doc_id', mode=ListRevisionsMode('my_doc_id'))ĭbx.files_list_revisions('my_doc_id', mode=ListRevisionsMode.id) To my knowledge Dropbox Paper files do not have file paths so using the doc id is the only way to go.Ĭurrently my code looks like this. I'm trying to get the revisions using the doc id instead of the file path which appears to be possible according to documentation. I've spent hours troubleshooting and I'm at a total loss. This can be done using files_list_revisions but I cannot get it to work. In order to achieve this I need to be able to get the latest file revision number. I am using the python SDK for Dropbox to make updates to 'Dropbox Paper' documents.
